ARB Acceptable Sign Criteria

Covenant Section 10.13 states that “No sign of any kind shall be displayed to the public view on any Lot except as may be approved as to size and design and in accordance with criteria established by the ARB.”

The ARB has established the criteria below for acceptable signs.  Homeowners are expected to abide by these criteria as an extension of the covenants.

No signs, window displays, or advertising will be permitted on any part of the Property except as follows: (a) One “For Sale” or one “For Rent” sign per lot during the sale/rental event; (b) Event driven signs: elections, local events, athletic events, etc., may be posted no more than two weeks before the event and removed 24 hours after the event;  (c) Personal events: birthdays, birth announcements, graduations, and “my student made the band/team” etc., may be posted at the start of the event and removed one week after the event; (d) Contractor signs may be posted during the time they are working on a home; (e) Lawn treatment notices must be removed within 24 hours of posting and/or when the hazard is no longer present;  (f) One security company sign may be posted, not to exceed 105 square inches.

All signs must be ground mounted and located as close to the residence as possible.  No sign shall exceed 36 X 24 inches in size or 44 inches in height above the ground.

Vanity flags (yard flags) are limited to one per lot and must be generic in content, “It’s Spring/Welcome” etc. and/or comply with the rules for signs. No yard flag shall exceed 24 X 24.  United States of America and State flags are always permitted.
